By JENNIFER KIRK, AP ReporterIn the days after Halloween, when many young adults have come out of the closet, it’s always important to dress in your best, to put on your best face and not your worst.
That’s the advice from some teens who have been asked to dress up as young adults in costumes that have been deemed inappropriate for young people.
In a video on YouTube, a man dressed as a ghost walks through a haunted house, holding a ghost puppet.
And a boy in a costume that looks like a Barbie doll with a ghost face walks past a school.
The video was posted to the website of the University of Manitoba’s school of social work and has garnered more than 1 million views.
The man, identified as Brandon, was a member of a group called “Ghostbusters” and said they wanted to share the joy of Halloween with the public, which was why he was dressed as the ghost.
“I wanted to make sure we did not offend anyone and to let everyone know, we are not looking to offend anyone, that is not our intention,” Brandon said in a video posted on the YouTube channel.
“We just wanted to do something that would be funny to our parents.”
He said he felt like Halloween should be fun and easy for young adults to enjoy.
Brandon said he and his friends are not going to stop at Halloween.
They are going to do more Halloween parties and events, including a Halloween party in his backyard on Saturday.
He also said he’s planning to start wearing a wig and makeup.
